AmyBeth Beel | Higher Diploma Acting Programme Leader | ICMP London

AmyBeth Beel is the Acting Programme Leader for our Higher Diploma in Music Performance.

AmyBeth started her professional career as one of the principal singers for Scottish Ballet, singing for the world premiere of ‘The Snowman’ and touring the UK with the production for 2 years.

She trained and won scholarships for both classical and opera singing at both The Iain Tomlin school of Music and University of Aberdeen, being tutored by the royal composer and Classic FM composer of the year Professor Paul Mealor and renowned ENO soprano Gillian Jack.

Regularly appearing on tv and radio, AmyBeth performs internationally as a Soprano both as a soloist, musical director of two major choirs and as part of acclaimed classical ensemble Cantate Gaudio.

She has sung with classical vocalists Jose Carreras, Lesley Garrett, Emma Kirkby, David Kirby-Ashmore and Lisa Milne, as a backing vocalist with multi award winning Jazz artist Lianne Carroll and has also arranged additional vocals for popular recording artists. She made her West End Debut in 2015 at the Young Vic starring as principal singer for the critically acclaimed play ‘The Event’

AmyBeth has been working in the voice coaching and classroom teaching environment for 17 years, creating curriculum for both the private education and public sectors as well as in Higher Education.

AmyBeth has worked with and advised the ABRSM on their new musical theatre syllabus and delivered vocal workshops all around Europe and the USA.

She is a specialist in the Bel Canto technique but adapts her teaching to the individual student’s needs.

Many of AmyBeth’s past and current students work in the West End, nationwide tours, cruise ships and even Broadway.
