Michael Hyman

Michael Hyman is a London based, award winning composer and orchestrator specialising in bespoke music for media, songwriting and production.

Michael's film and TV credits include working with BAFTA nominated Latimer Films on the score of Choices, scoring BBC featured documentary East End Lives and BBC worldwide educational series Phonics School, providing music for Channel 5’s Great Northern Cookbook and scoring a showcase short for Great Ormand Street Hospital.

Working with Rezzonator Music, Michael has assisted and composed on the documentary Turning Points: One Month That Changed A Nation (Cloud Media Entertainment), co-written and prepared cues for CBBC series Dani’s House (Zodiak; with Michael J. McEvoy), transcribed and conducted the live score recording for Young Dracula Season 5 and provided music on a TV advertising campaign for Philips Avent (Frogspawn Creative). 

As an orchestrator Michael has worked with some of the biggest composers in the UK and Indian film industries including A R Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire). Recent feature releases include 'Finding Your Feet' (2017) (Imelda Staunton, Timothy Spall) and Thugs of Hindostan (release 2018), as well as creating and MDing orchestral arrangements for concert performances and world tours with artists and film composers alike.
