Tom Brown is one of our new members of faculty for the academic year 2020/21.

After being awarded a Distinction Level Masters Degree in Composition For Film & Television, following on from a BMus in Music Performance, Tom has been working freelance as a composer, arranger, producer, multi-instrumentalist musician and educator in a number of different ventures, including composing and producing original music for Motion Picture.

Tom’s latest film score for The Nightcrawlers an unflinching exposé of Philippines President Duterte’s war on drugs, was among the films shortlisted in both the BAFTAs & Academy Awards 2020 race for Best Documentary - Short Subject and has since won an Emmy Award in the Outstanding Short Documentary category. Tom is also a contributor to music production libraries for TV Syncs. As well as this, he is the guitarist for soul artist Jocee for whom he co-writes, arranges, produces, and corporate function band The Ways, performing at high-end functions both in the UK and internationally, as well as both live and studio sessions.
