After being awarded a Distinction Level Masters Degree in Composition For Film & Television, following on from a BMus in Music Performance, Tom Brown has been an in-demand freelance composer, arranger, producer, multi-instrumentalist musician and educator. His work has spread across a variety of different ventures, including composing and producing original music for Motion Pictures.
Tom’s latest film score for The Nightcrawlers an unflinching exposé of Philippines President Duterte’s war on drugs, was among the films shortlisted in both the BAFTAs & Academy Awards 2020 race for Best Documentary - Short Subject and has since won an Emmy Award in the Outstanding Short Documentary category. Tom is also a contributor to music production libraries for TV Syncs. As well as this, he is the guitarist for soul artist Jocee for whom he co-writes, arranges, produces, and corporate function band The Ways, performing at high-end functions both in the UK and internationally, as well as both live and studio sessions.
