Nikolay is a London-based engineer, producer and plug-in developer. Nik is also an experienced lecturer in Sound Engineering and Music Production and as such he has taken part in many high-profile international events. In 2015 he was the national chairman of the UK section of the Audio Engineering Society.

As an executive committee member, he became the founder of the now highly successful UK annual audio student event ‘Up your Output!‘. Nikolay holds a 1st class BA in Philosophy from the University of Sofia and a UK diploma in Music Production from SAE Institute.

As an engineer, Nik loves working in studios but is known as someone with a great deal of recording experience on-location and in spaces with unusual acoustics. Some of his credits include recording, mixing and mastering work for the Arditti String Quartet, composer Dario Palermo and many classical and experimental avant-garde musicians.

Nik also works closely with Acustica Audio, both as internal and external 3rd party plug-in developer. He is the developer for plug-ins such as Lime and Navy, the bigger part of Cream and some of the modules in Pink. Currently, he is developing his own convolution reverb plugin using some new unexplored techniques. Nikolay also works as Antelope Audio’s UK Ambassador and consults the company on their new product releases and software effects.
