Zal is singer, songwriter and academic. They are joining us as a tutor.

Starting her career at 15 working at Musicweek as an intern, Zal went on to spend several years singing, songwriting and working across live events in roles as a performer and back-of-house.  Wanting to gain a deeper understanding of the industry, Zal studied a UG degree and discovered an unexpected love for academia - an environment that promoted her curiosity.  Combined with Zal’s love of people, teaching became a natural next step in Zal’s professional career.

With 17 years of experience teaching in HE Zal's experience spans across the Creative Industries with specialisms in Music Industry Management and Events Management.  Passionate about alternative methods of delivery and a strong believer that education should be a holistic experience that engages learners and equips them with skills that empower them to continue their journey's past graduation.

Zal has continued to marry her love of the creative industries with teaching by specialising in industry partnerships to ensure that learning is relevant and current and promotes an organic connection between the classroom and employment.
