Here at ICMP, we’re hugely proud of the supportive nature of our learning community. It’s one of the main benefits of studying at a specialist institution, and our ‘family atmosphere’ is often mentioned by students as the thing they appreciate most about ICMP during their time with us.
For those joining us, please know we’ll work extra hard to keep our much-loved community safe and well. We've carried out an extensive risk assessments to ensure our buildings are COVID-secure facilities, introducing a range of UK Government-recommended health and safety measures. These included social distancing, enhanced cleaning, improved sanitation facilities, and special protocols for dealing with on-site sickness.
But, moving forward there are certain things students, staff and visitors can do to keep our environment as safe as possible, too. So, when you visit our buildings, there are eight actions we’d like you to take:
email@example.com, this allows us to ensure appropriate measures are in place to contain any potential outbreaks.Report– in order to keep our community safe it's critical that any positive covid cases are reported. Please do this by simply emailing
Check in– please tap in and out of ICMP buildings each time you enter or leave, so we know who is on campus at all times and can monitor building capacity.
Wear a face covering – all building users, unless exempt, are now required to wear face coverings when moving around our buildings and in communal spaces, this includes the library. We also strongly recommend that face coverings are worn within classrooms.
Keep your distance – please follow social distancing guidelines, keeping a safe distance from others and following the marked routes around the buildings. We have also implemented single direction staircases for ascending and descending our Dyne Road building.
Regularly sanitise your hands – sanitation stations have been set up at entrance and exit points on every floor, please use them upon entering our buildings and regularly throughout the day.
Tell the Facilities Desk if you’re unwell – if you start to feel ill on campus, please let us know as soon as possible.
We’ve also enhanced our cleaning and hygiene procedures, and improved air circulation, ventilation and stage design to allow for separate performance activities.
Please know your safety is our top priority and we’re doing our upmost to ensure your student life is as full as it can be. We look forward to welcoming you to our campus.
