Here at ICMP, we’re hugely proud of the supportive nature of our learning community. It’s one of the main benefits of studying at a specialist institution, and our ‘family atmosphere’ is often mentioned by students as the thing they appreciate most about ICMP during their time with us.
For those joining us this year, please know we’ll work extra hard to keep our much-loved community safe and well. We’ve already carried out an extensive risk assessment to ensure our Kilburn campus is a COVID-secure facility, introducing a range of UK Government-recommended health and safety measures. These include social distancing, enhanced cleaning, improved sanitation facilities, and special protocols for dealing with on-site sickness.
But there are certain things students, staff and visitors can do to keep our environment as safe as possible, too. So, when you visit our Kilburn campus, there are five actions we’d like you to take:
Keep your distance – please follow social distancing guidelines, keeping the recommended distance apart from others (currently two metres) and following the marked routes around the building.
Wear a face mask – where social distancing guidelines aren’t possible, please use face coverings. Take one at the building’s entrance.
Wash your hands regularly – sanitation stations have been set up at entrance and exit points on every floor.
Stay home if you feel unwell – please don’t come to campus if you’ve recently experienced a temperature/fever, persistent cough, vomiting, diarrhoea or a loss of taste or smell.
Tell the Facilities Desk if you’re unwell – if you start to feel ill on campus, please let us know as soon as possible.
Over the coming months, we’re looking to further enhance our cleaning and hygiene procedures, improved air circulation and ventilation, and stage design to allow for separate performance activities.
On behalf of all our staff, we’d like to thank you for your patience and cooperation so far and over the coming months. Please know your safety is our top priority and we’re doing our upmost to ensure your student life is as full as it can be. We look forward to welcoming you to campus soon.
