ICMP is delighted to announce the launch of its new Fine Tune scheme offering up to 60 free places on its short courses for students from underrepresented backgrounds.

The programme will offer places on ICMP’s non-accredited short courses to those with no previous experience within Higher Education.

Not only will the bursary provide opportunities to create and perform contemporary music, but allow students to enjoy an insight into ICMP and our range of qualifications relevant to employment within the music industry.

Places will be available on a range of courses including Introduction to Ableton Live, Introduction to Music Production, Blues Rhythm Guitar 101 and Songwriting: The Basics

Paul Kirkham, ICMP Chief Executive, said:

Fine Tune is our latest bursary aimed at supporting the underrepresented musical talent through our brilliant short courses. We are committed to increasing opportunities for students from a diverse range of backgrounds here at ICMP and excited to receive your applications."

The short courses are led by an ICMP tutor, with students offered the choice of studying online or in-person at our London campus. These courses are usually up to £199 but Fine Tune means you can enrol for free if you are eligible.

Anyone who successfully applies will get:

  • Free access to a non-accredited short music course.
  • A dedicated admissions adviser providing you with information, advice, and guidance.
  • Hear from an ICMP ambassador, providing you with insight into music higher education life from a student's perspective.
