Spotlight-Natalie-Lindi-Tattoo

Here at ICMP, we are proud to support our community and always look forward to sharing their successes.

Each Tuesday, we present a student or graduate music project, making it our #ICMPSpotlight of the week.

This time we've chosen to shine a light on Tattoo, a special release by BA Creative Musicianship alumna Natalie Miya-Fluxman, also known as Natalie Lindi.

ICMP SPOTLIGHT: 26TH MAY 2020

TATTOO, A SONG BY NATALIE LINDI.

Natalie Lindi is a singer-songwriter and a BA Creative Musicianship graduate. Her most recent work, Tattoo, is a song she put out to raise funds for domestic violence victims, with all streams and purchases going to Refuge

Earlier this year, she joined our tutor Erika Footman and other ICMP artists for a Songwriter Event that aimed to raise money for the same charity.

Natalie recorded, mixed, and mastered the track in her bedroom, sending it to a couple of close friends for feedback until she felt it was release-ready.

She told us that;

I was inspired to release this song after hearing about the rising rates of domestic abuse during the lockdown. I have never been in an abusive relationship before, but I feel it is really important to raise awareness (and money) especially during this time."

"It’s so important for people to feel like they are not alone, I hope this song can help them feel heard."

On Friday 29th, Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st Natalie will be live-streaming from her Instagram profile with some special guests, discussing domestic violence and personal stories, while also sharing music. Follow her to not miss out!
