Studio gear and music technology are essential parts of the music producer's toolkit, something that super producer Andrew Scheps knows all too well.

Andrew is one of contemporary music's most revered studio experts, working as a mix engineer, recording engineer and producer for everyone from Adele to U2 via Beyonce and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. He's received three Grammy Awards.

The prizes have come for Ziggy Marley, 'Fly Rasta' (Best Reggae Album), Adele, '21' (Album Of The Year) and Red Hot Chili Peppers, 'Stadium Arcadium' (Best Rock Album) so we were delighted to welcome him for a masterclass.

We were lucky enough to get some time ahead of the class to speak to Andrew about his career and essential advice for aspiring music producers.
