Andrew Scheps on gear and new music technology
Watch our video interview with super producer Andrew Scheps on how music technology has changed how he records music...
Studio gear and music technology are essential parts of the music producer's toolkit, something that super producer Andrew Scheps knows all too well.
Andrew is one of contemporary music's most revered studio experts, working as a mix engineer, recording engineer and producer for everyone from Adele to U2 via Beyonce and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. He's received three Grammy Awards.
The prizes have come for Ziggy Marley, 'Fly Rasta' (Best Reggae Album), Adele, '21' (Album Of The Year) and Red Hot Chili Peppers, 'Stadium Arcadium' (Best Rock Album) so we were delighted to welcome him for a masterclass.
We were lucky enough to get some time ahead of the class to speak to Andrew about his career and essential advice for aspiring music producers.
Below, check out his thoughts on his favourite music gear and how technology has changed the way he records music...
We also caught up with Andrew to find out more on how his journey into the world of music production started. Watch our third video interview with him below:
