The ICMP Spotlight aims to support as many students and alumni as possible in their personal careers within the music industry.
Whether you'll be working on a musical, joining a cover band, starting out as a booking agent/artist manager/music journalist/etc, we want to know all about it and support you with any possible means.
Each month we present a student or graduate music project, making it our #ICMPSpotlight.
BACK 2 BACK CATALOGUES • A music podcast
by BMus Popular Music Performance alumni Julianna Hopkins & Natasha Jenkins
'Back 2 Back Catalogues' is a forward-thinking music & arts interview podcast started by BMus (Hons) Popular Music Performance class of 2020 alumni Julianna Hopkins and Natasha Jenkins. Interviewing artists across all mediums and delving into the inner workings of their projects and journeys is their goal, covering the nitty-gritty, the good, the bad, the downfalls and the victories of artists from every aspect of the creative world.
Every Saturday, a new episode is released and over time they plan to establish a reliable and consistent platform for people to share their passions and stories. A large number of their releases so far have included acts and artists from ICMP (students and alumni) such as Lelli, Pete & Vinnie Play, Them Bloody Kids, Conor Houston, BLAB, Tasmin Faith and The Great Leslie.
Talking about their motivations for starting the podcast Julianna and Natasha said:
"Knowing how much we and our friends struggled through the pandemic as musicians and artists, we thought creating a podcast as another platform for them to vocalise their experiences and share their art would be a fun and insightful way to support each other within the creative industries."
