This time we've chosen to shine a light on Ashtray Records, a label started by ICMP students Daniel Goldfinch Betts, Joseph Rose, and Benjy Stobart.
ICMP SPOTLIGHT: 10TH MARCH 2020
Ashtray Records, an independent record label by Daniel Goldfinch Betts, Joseph Rose, and Benjy Stobart.
Ashtray Records is an independent record label based in north-west London started by Creative Musicianship students Daniel Goldfinch Betts and Joseph Rose, and Production student Benjy Stobart. Their aim is to support and promote underground artists across London and Greater London.
Initially, Ashtray Records will be focusing on artist development and collaboration, both musically and in terms of visual identity and branding. The label's mission is to celebrate creative collaboration by helping to connect underground artists with a flexible portfolio of collaborators.
The latest release from the label is by Mellow North, a London hip-hop collective consisting of producers, musicians, artists, graphic designers, and videographers all working under one roof, inspired by Andy Warhol's factory and the American collective Odd Future.
