Leading music industry entrepreneur and Drowned in Sound founder Sean Adams is the latest guest to appear on ICMP's Sounds Like These podcast.

Hosted by Lara Magnelli from ICMP’s Marketing Team, the series features an interview with a leading music industry professional to explore their career and essential tips for success.

Since the acclaimed website closed in 2020, Sean has kept himself busy with a number of exciting projects including artist management (for the likes of Ed Harcourt and ICMP tutor Catherine Anne Davies, The Anchoress), social media production (for BBC Radio 6), and has more recently launched his 360° creative consultancy CCCLX Music

In the interview, Sean speaks about his industry journey and how he has progressed through various different roles with his music.

Commenting, Lara said: "Sean is a real music-obsessed who's done and is still doing so much within the industry."

I think our conversation will resonate with many people as we delved into music journalism, social media and content creation, music curation and much more. I highly recommend it!"

Elsewhere, he discusses releasing music by artists such as Kaiser Chiefs and Marta Wainwright, working for the BBC as a social media manager and producer, and contributing to shifting towards a more inclusive conversation about the music industry.
