ICMP launches new partnership with the Dolby Institute

ICMP is delighted to announce a vital new partnership with the Dolby Institute. 

This is expected to benefit our students and staff immensely in the exciting ever changing landscape of Dolby Atmos and spatial audio mixing as well as composition and sound design for film, TV and games.

Tutors will be able to access current industry workflows from Dolby created curriculum assets to assist in modules and courses, as well as online support and masterclasses directly from the Dolby Institute team. 

Tutors will also be able to access educational content created by Dolby to gain professional certifications.

ICMP's Queens Park campus recently had the S6 studio officially certified for 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos and has proved to be an invaluable space for students to learn and work.

Tom Brown, Programme Leader for ICMP's BA in Music Production for Film TV and Games, said:

Josh Hills, Programme Leader for ICMP's BA (Hons) Audio Engineering and Production degree, said: "On the Audio Engineering programme, we explore Dolby Atmos mixing across a variety of our modules."

"Having direct involvement and feedback from Dolby will profoundly enhance the learning experience for our students and their skill development in immersive audio."
