ICMP is delighted to launch its new Creative Grants Scheme to provide current students with up to £1,000 to fund their musical projects.
The new scheme aims to help any members of the ICMP student community who may be looking to get a new venture off the ground or speed up the creative process.
You might be an artist looking to work with a producer, but don’t have the funds to pay them or a producer who wants to work with an artist you believe in, but they don’t have the funds to pay you. You could be a band in need of funds to cover studio time or looking for the capital to set up a new business venture.
These projects and initiatives are all valid as are many others: the focus just needs to be on creating something original.
James Brister, ICMP's Industry Liaison Manager, said:
"At ICMP, we don't believe finance should be a barrier to creativity but for certain projects, an injection of financial support can accelerate the process if made at the right stage in their development.
We are very happy to be able to offer some financial backing to ICMP's fantastic community of musical talent in the form of our Creative Grants. We can't wait to review the feedback on your applications from our diverse panel of industry judges."

When can I apply?
We are now accepting submissions for this opportunity. The deadline for applications is 4pm on the 7th May 2021.
Who decides who gets the funding?
There will be a diverse panel of three music industry professionals judging each application and they will decide who is awarded the funding. ICMP will not have an input into the decision making process.
We offer a range of backing and support to ICMP students. Our Accelerator Fund is another initiative which aims to support the professional development of our musical community.
