We’re delighted to announce details of our ICMP Supports: Disabilities in Music event led by ICMP Songwriting tutor Isobel Anderson.

The virtual event, which takes place on Monday 20th July from 7pm, will explore the challenges of working as a songwriter, musician and artist with a disability.

Isobel will be joined in the chat by composer and sound artist DIE HEXEN and singer-songwriter Ruth Patterson, who along with Isobel, both experience disabilities and hidden disabilities.+

What is a hidden disability?

A hidden disability is a physical, mental or neurological condition. It may not be visible externally, yet can limit or challenge a person's movements, senses, or activities.

The event will see all three discuss their musical journeys and the challenges they’ve faced and overcome to enjoy successful music industry careers.
