Congratulations to ICMP graduate Sha Supangan (aka @CrazyLittleAsian) who has been recognised by Drake Music as one of three of their Emergent Artists for 2022 - alongside André Louis (Onj) and DJ Kunteea.

The Emergent Bursaries are for Asian, Black and Ethnically Diverse artists at the start of their creative careers and are supported by the PRS Foundation through their Talent Development Network.

In 2021, Drake Music was chosen as the beneficiary of funds donated in memory of a young man named Charlie Williams, who had tragically died.

The Charlie Williams bursary was specifically open to applications from DJs/Producers, and Sha was the recipient.

Commenting, Sha said:

I’m honoured to be a recipient of this bursary from such a great organisation. I've received masterclasses, as well as a bursary to purchase a laptop, and a support group which is fantastic for artists like me who have just graduated."

In their news item, Drake Music said: "We’d like to take the opportunity to thank Charlie’s family and friends who kindly donated funds in his memory and made this bursary possible."

"We’re very excited to see what the Emergent Artists will produce and will be sharing updates. In the meantime, please do check out their work on the links below."
