Auditions can often be nerve-racking and make you think of standing in front of a panel of tough judges… but that’s not us!

At ICMP, your audition is just you and a tutor of your discipline, one-on-one. Our tutors are highly experienced in what they do and are well equipped to help you get through.

Your audition should take between 30 minutes and 1 hour, depending on the course you are choosing to study. (NB: Where applicable, you should bring your instrument with you, drummers should bring sticks.)

Naturally, you will want to prepare for your audition, and we want to help you there. Below we have guidance for everyone on what to expect at your audition, as well as what to prepare for.

NB: There is additional guidance specifically for those who are auditioning via Skype.

Of course, once you’ve read over the below and you get your preparation underway, if you have any questions or concerns about the audition our Admissions team are always on hand to help.

After your audition, one of our Admissions Advisors will speak with you about your audition so you can get some instant feedback on how you performed, and find out what happens next. This is also your opportunity to ask us questions about the college, the courses, and anything else you would like to know.

Our aim is to make sure that by the time you walk out that door, you have all the information you need.
