"The Business degree at ICMP has transformed my life, and now I'm deeply involved in the music industry, that is incredible. My name is Harvey Selby. I studied the Music Business and Entrepreneurship course at ICMP. I've been a drummer since I was a kid and have always loved music.

Initially, I came to study the Foundation degree in Music Performance. During that time, I learned more about what the Business course offered and decided to switch. The experience was fantastic; the tutors were exceptional, very patient, and genuinely eager to see you succeed.

Currently, I'm working for Festival Republic, helping to produce and execute some of the major music festivals in the UK. It was my tutor, Jamie Johnson, who connected me with an ex-student, Christy Taverner, who was working at Festival Republic. After some discussions, she invited me to join the team, starting with Wireless Festival and then Community Festival. It was an incredible opportunity and a great way to get my foot in the door.

This course is not just for those who live and breathe performance but also for those who envision themselves as architects of the music industry. The course has been a beacon of growth, significantly shaping my personal and professional identity. For performers contemplating a fresh direction or those fascinated by the business mechanics of music, this course is filled of knowledge and excitement. It's a domain where passion is matched with practical skills, and I am beyond grateful for the myriad of opportunities it has presented to me.

Moreover, the collaborative environment at ICMP, enriched by a diverse student body and faculty, fosters a unique synergy of ideas and cultures, further enhancing the learning experience. It's this environment that has allowed me to thrive, not just as a musician but as a visionary in the business of music.

In conclusion, the ICMP Business degree is more than just an academic credential; it's a journey of transformation, a catalyst for innovation, and a platform for launching dreams into reality. Therefore, making it really fun and enjoyable. It's a course I would recommend to any aspiring musician or entrepreneur who is ready to chart their own course in the ever-evolving landscape of the music industry. "
