John Fischer | Visiting Lecturer | Live Event Management

John is a highly experienced promoter, with over 20 years experience in producing live events from small rooms to multi venue weekend festivals.

Cutting his teeth in his home town of Luton, looking after small live venues and nightclubs, John had the opportunity to take over The Freebutt venue in Brighton.  Reestablishing The Freebutt as an important grassroots venue both on the local and national circuit, however it came under fire due to noise complaints within a year of re-opening. John then moved back to Luton to work alongside the Arts Council to deliver a 3 day multi-venue festival.

In 2016, John took charge of The Old Blue Last, Birthdays and the Sebright Arms in London for VICE UK.  He now  runs the diaries for CHALK( Brighton) The Boileroom (Guildford) and MASH(Cambridge).
