ICMP’s Careers & Industry Hub is launching the ICMP Employability Award, a new initiative designed to celebrate and recognise final year students. 

This will be applicable for those studying Cert HE, Undergraduate and Masters level who have engaged with a range of activities outside of their programme to enhance their personal and professional development while at ICMP

The award is provided in the form of a certificate which can then be referenced in applications for employment and further study. This initiative is run by the Careers & Industry Hub in liaison with the wider ICMP Team.

Oliver Tatler, Careers & Employability Manager, said: "Students build lots of transferable skills during their time at ICMP."

We wanted to highlight ways they can develop these further and enhance their ICMP experience as well as help them to communicate those skills to potential employers or clients."

Students are invited to get involved with activities across ICMP to develop their transferable skills which can add value to their CVs.

Eligible activities include attending meetings with the Careers & Industry Hub to get support on finding work and engaging with the music industry, applying for the Accelerator Fund, undertaking an internship or part-time job as well as engaging with Programme Committees, promoting an idea for a new society or giving feedback in Programme Committee meetings.

Students can start getting involved in eligible activity throughout the academic year but final reviews of all applicants for the award start in April 2023.
