Safety Precautions

Stage 1

Lockdown

Closed to all If UK government guidelines dictate full lockdown. All teaching, learning and assessment is delivered online. All student support services available remotely. Building is closed to all students.

Stage 2

Partial Lockdown
Current stage

Closed to all but those with special requirements If UK government guidelines dictate partial lockdown. Most teaching and most assessment is delivered online. Specialist facilities, such as studios, are available to students who urgently require them. All student support services available remotely. Enhanced cleaning /Adjustments to buildings (e.g. Perspex screens) / Strict social distancing. No social spaces / Face coverings where social distancing cannot take place.

Stage 3

Controlled Opening

Open but on a managed basis. If UK government guidance requires restrictions, but more flexibly than stage 2. Blended delivery, mix of face-to-face and online. Most students are asked to attend only one day per week in person, to minimise travel. Available on site, but we’ll proritise the use of online services and remote meetings where possible. Enhanced cleaning / Adjustments to buildings (e.g. Perspex screens) / Strict social distancing / Normal shared spaces unavailable, but classrooms allocated for downtime between sessions.

Stage 4

Full Opening

Open to all students, but sensible precautions in place. If the majority of restrictions are lifted.

Delivered face to face for most students, but the online resources are still available. Full range of services available. We still prioritise the use of online services where possible. Enhanced cleaning / Adjustments to buildings (e.g. Perspex screens) / Social spaces open.
