Organise internships and placements

We can help you organise in-person and virtual internships and placements during term time and over summer, as well as accredited placements as part of our BA (Hons) Music Business and Entrepreneurship programme. We also organise paid internships targeted at students from under-represented backgrounds as part of our annual Industry Placement Programme. Not only can we help you target your search, but we’ll collate applications for you to review. Plus, we’re available for support throughout the placement, too.

Mentoring

Alumni mentoring – If you’re an ICMP graduate and would like to give back to our current student community, consider becoming an alumni mentor. As well as enhancing your own skills and knowing you’re helping to make a difference, you’ll receive access to ICMPLife.com – our community engagement platform – to help facilitate online peer mentoring.

Industry mentoring – If you’re actively working in the music industry and are keen to share your experience and expertise, our annual Industry Mentoring Scheme can connect you with enthusiastic final-year students from under-represented backgrounds. The ICMP Careers & Industry Hub Team will provide guidance and advice at every step of your mentoring journey, and you’ll attend workshops with your mentee to offer careers advice and support that’s sure to be invaluable.
