ICMP are supporting this event, hosted by The Bedford in South London.
Join us on the 8th of March to witness 6 incredible female artists from ICMP inclusive of students, alumni and staff, to celebrate women in music! In partnership with Music for Mental Wealth, this event sees these individuals shedding light on their songs and telling the stories of how they came to be.
Future opportunities to take part in Richer Sounds events are available for all applicants - shows which have seen independent and unsigned artists perform with the likes of KT Tunstall, Newton Faulkner and BIRDIE to name a few.
About Leoni Jane Kennedy
London based singer-songwriter, Leoni is often described as 'haunting' by her audiences. With intricate guitar riffs alongside powerful soulful vocals, she is achieving a new rock sound with progressives influence in her rhythmic and melodic structures and lyrics that surpass her years. In 2018, 'Queen's’ Brian May and Roger Taylor awarded Leoni the 'Freddie Mercury' Scholarship covering her entire university tuition fees.
In 2019, Leoni and her band joined the producer of Motörhead and Uriah Heep, John Gallen, and recorded a live album consisting of 7 songs and single "Life Like This". Leoni is a full time musician living in Camden studying a Masters Degree in songwriting at ICMP, whilst hoping to tackle the London music scene, expand her network, and get her big break.
