After discovering Banquet Records in her early teens, Clara started attending shows at Grassroots Music Venues around London. Watching bands play live sparked an intense interest in promoting and protecting live music.
In 2017, Clara joined Music Venue Trust as Venue Support Manager. She now manages MVT's Emergency Response Service and assists the charity in its policy work. The Emergency Response Service provides urgent support, guidance and financial support to venues facing threats of closure.
Alongside her work at Music Venue Trust, she has also worked for Festival Republic primarily focusing on festivals such as Latitude and Reading and Leeds, Frank Turner's Lost Evenings festival, and as a promoter's representative and artist liaison at gigs in grassroots music venues and festivals around the country.
Clara will be a visiting lecturer on our BA (Hons) Live Event Management degree.
