We're all super excited to welcome our students back to ICMP next week for enrolment week.

Our enrolment and induction process is spread throughout the week, with various events and welcome sessions. All new students will also be required to attend a designated enrolment session too.

Students who are unable to attend in person should contact our Academic Support Team who will guide you through the process remotely.

Starting at a new Institution can at times feel intimidating, don't forget we're here to support you all the way. Please contact your Academic Support Team if you have any issues or questions at any point during your time as an ICMP student, the team can be reached via academic.support@icmp.ac.uk. You can also speak to any staff member within our building, from our Reception staff through to our friendly Facilities Team - we're all here to help you get the most out of your ICMP experience.

Enrolment: New students

If you've completed our CAP process, you should now have access to your Timeable. Within your timetable you should find an allocated 'enrolement' slot on either Monday 14th, Tuesday 15th or Wednesday 16th. This is when you will be required to visit  ICMP (in person) and complete your enrolment.

On the day, please ensure to bring your Qualifications, ID (Passport/Drivers Licence or Birth Certificate), and your visa (if you're a Tier4 student) with you.

If you're unable to attend or miss your appointment, please get in touch and we'll reschedule for Friday 18th. Alternatively, you'll be able to complete our 'late enrolment' process which remains open for two weeks after the start of your programme.

Please arrive 5 minutes early, upon entering the building you will need to pop on your facemask, sanitise your hands, and register your presence with our Reception Team. They will then hand you a personalised checklist of the procedures you need to complete to finalise your enrolment.

We have carefully planned each day to enable us to safely manage our building capacity. As such, please do not arrive earlier or later than your allotted time.

COVID Safety

Playing an active role to safeguard our community

We have implemented many measures to keep you safe and, working in partnership with Shield Safety Group, we’re very pleased that our premises have now been certified ‘Safe to Trade.'

As we welcome students back on-site next week, it is now crucial that you all play an active role in maintaining the health and wellbeing of our community. This applies to both our facilities and those used for the various events we have planned for you.

Within our building, you will find staff will be on hand to advise on safe distancing and help to enforce the guidelines set out by the Government. Please don’t hesitate to speak to a member of our team if you are unsure of anything health and safety-related whilst onsite.

If you fall into any of these categories, please DO NOT visit our building or attend events until it is safe for you to do so:

  • You are experiencing any COVID symptoms
  • You are quarantining – due to travelling from a high-risk area or overseas from any country on the government's quarantine list
  • You are self-isolating
  • You currently reside in an area under local lockdown

If you feel unwell it’s obviously crucial that you stay at home and where required you seek a COVID test before returning to our building. In such instances, simply let our team know, either Academic Support or your Programme Leader, and they will ensure that you are noted as authorised absent for any classes that are missed, as a result of your ill health.

If you start to feel unwell whilst on site, please report this to our Facilities desk as soon as possible. A trained First Aider will then be able to assist you as required.

Stay safe and enjoy your time with us.

You can find details of onsite and online teaching as well as online interactive delivery for each course module here.

Our blended timetable ensures all ICMP students receive teaching on campus during Semester A, as well as having the opportunity to learn from home. All students will have the chance to use our facilities and equipment outside of class time, subject to social distancing.

WHERE CAN I FIND MY TIMETABLE?

Your timetable can be found on the Celcat dashboard - which you can access using your ICMP network login.

Will online attendance be monitored?

Attendance at online classes will be taken using the Celcat register as we would do for face-to-face classes.

HOW WILL YOU ENSURE THAT SOCIAL DISTANCING IS IN PLACE AT ICMP?

Over the last few months, we’ve been working incredibly hard to make our campus ‘COVID-secure’, prioritising the wellbeing of our students and staff, and ensuring appropriate access to our state-of-the-art facilities, musical equipment and expert faculty.

Take a look at how we put social distancing and other safety measures in place at ICMP.

WHAT IS CAP AND WHY DO I NEED TO COMPLETE IT?

Whether you're a new student to ICMP, or you are returning in September, one of the key steps before your enrolment is to complete our CAP process, otherwise known as' Confirm a Place'.

Even though you have already accepted your place to study here, this important process allows us to begin your enrolment by letting us know about any changes to your contact details and to upload key documents that we require from you.

WHERE CAN I FIND MY LEARNING RESOURCES AND READING LISTS?

All of your learning resources can be found on Canvas.

Please log in using the same details as your online enrolment.

I STILL DON'T HAVE AN ICMP EMAIL ADDRESS. HOW DO I GET ONE?

You should have received an email including instructions to set up your ICMP email address. If you didn't get it or you need assistance setting it up, please contact us.

WHAT IF MY COUNTRY RESTRICTS TRAVEL TO THE UK?

f you’re unable to physically join us for your course, you can commence your studies virtually. The learning pathway will be very similar to face-to-face education, so you can join your classmates with minimal disruption once restrictions have lifted. Where necessary, we’ll provide additional support to enable students to join a course physically at a later date, and will deliver typical student experiences later in the year when it becomes possible to do so. This means you won’t miss out on the full experience of being a student!
