CHRIS RÖRLAND is the lead/rhythm guitar player of Sabaton. Chris started playing guitar at age 7 and never stopped; he went to bed with his guitar and woke up with it. He is also a member of the power metal band Nocturnal Rites.
Chris’ biggest influence has always been Adrian Smith from Iron Maiden, and other influences include Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Nils Norberg and Ritchie Kotzen.
THOBBE ENGLUND got his first guitar at the age of 10. At 13 years old he saw an instructional video by Yngwie Malmsteen and from that day he knew he was going to become a virtuoso guitar player.
Eight hours of practice every day until in his early twenties eventually led to a record deal, and from then on he released numerous albums with his band Winterlong, as well as other projects like the band Star Queen, instrumental albums under his own name, and even playing bass in Swedish metal band Raubtier. May 2015 saw the release of yet another solo album - ”From The Wilderness”, out on Lion Music.
Sabaton are one of Europe’s biggest metal acts, headlining festivals all around the world and touring continuously. They are currently in the studio writing their next album.
