Congratulations to emerging producer Rookes who will be studying at ICMP thanks to our Music Producers Guild (MPG) scholarship. 

The initiative was created with our industry partners, the MPG, to provide an opportunity for anyone passionate about music production, but who might not normally consider Higher Education as part of their career development.

As the recipient of the award, Rookes will be given the opportunity to study on ICMP’s one-year Cert HE Creative Music Production course. 

Commenting on receiving the prize, she said:

Although I’ve been operating as a producer for a while now, I've been planning on exploring courses to sharpen up my technical skills during lockdown, so this seemed like an interesting opportunity. I’m still unexpectedly thrilled to win!"

"I’m a sponge for skills and over the years I’ve come to enjoy the reality that you never really stop learning. I expect this period of education will continue to polish up the services I can offer my production clients and give a fresh boost to my current projects. I expect it will also naturally help to facilitate smoother communication in terms of collaborative opportunities, which I’m aware are growing for me."

The course will see Rookes and her fellow students use the latest industry-standard equipment and computer software including ICMP’s high-tech Mac Labs, 24-track studios and dedicated teaching spaces.
