ICMP welcomed students from partner school Purdue University, Northern Ohio, Fort Wayne for two days of networking, learning and recording.

Spanning all disciplines from Musicianship to Business and Event Management, 25 students and four members of faculty from our partner university were hosted for a range of experiences across both campuses.

On the first day, students were introduced to ICMP with a tour followed by a masterclass with Jamie Johnston, Programme Leader for ICMP's BA (Hons) Live Event and Festival Management degree and special guest Amber Mackenzie from top live agency CAA.

They then took part in songwriting sessions with ICMP students and lecturers before enjoying a gig presented by Sofar sounds in Hoxton, East London.

The second day saw them enjoying recording, mixing and mastering in ICMP's Queens Park studios. They also planned a trip to Abbey Road Studios as well as exciting shows, gigs and sight seeing trips.

Ace, ICMP's Head of Industry Partnerships and Business Development, said.

This is just the kind of activity we love at ICMP where our partner schools visit and engage with our students for amazing and rewarding experiences."

"It really does illustrate how ICMP is seen as a global player in music education and that we really value the engagement of our partner schools as well as our own students."

John Buteyn, Director of the Popular Music Program at Purdue University, said:
