Congratulations to ICMP tutor Marcello Ruggiu on recently receiving his Ableton Live 11 Certification.

The award is an official recognition of Marcello’s knowledge and skills as a certified Ableton trainer with the latest version of the game-changing music software.

To receive this latest qualification, Marcello had to demonstrate his skills with Ableton Live 11 and his abilities to share his expertise and teach the software.

He organised three online seminars including sessions at ICMP, Synth Café, a Facebook group of 30k users, and Tutorial Musica Italia, a online music portal where he also works as a tutor.

Commenting, Marcello said: “This is the twelfth year I’ve been confirmed as a certified trainer.

Being a certified trainer is a great honour as the Ableton community is fantastic, full of creative minds and incredible talents. Being part of the family is just mind blowing."

“I learn something everyday from the group chats and the forum, and the Ableton people in Berlin are so supportive.”

Marcello’s musical career has seen him work as sound engineer and manage a recording studio in Milan before moving to London.

Alongside his ICMP teaching, he runs his own DeepTanz Productions music company and provides music for ads. Marcello also runs his own hardcore label and presents a radio show for Threads.

Listen to his latest track, ‘Destructive Process’, released as Amousement.
