ICMP students are to enjoy essential video game development experience collaborating with their peers at the SAE Institute as part of an exciting new project.
Students from ICMP's BA (Hons) Music Production for Film, TV & Games course are taking part in the pilot scheme which will see them working as the sound department for the games.
Four teams of students are developing video games based on student concepts. ICMP students will be involved in sound design, score, SFX, foley and consultancy work as part of the creative team.
Tom Brown, ICMP Programme Leader, said:
Such an amazing opportunity to experience creating and working as part of a team in the world of video games in an industry scenario; both in the now - to develop communication skills, working to a brief and developing craft but also networking - then building those relationships for future projects."
He added: "It's a highly challenging, fun and rewarding project that will grow the programmes but also develop the connection between ICMP and SAE as we move forward."
The pilot scheme will run for 12 weeks during the summer with the finals to take place in August. The project will then be embedded into our Music Production for Film,TV and Games degree from September 2024.
Look out for more updates on this exciting initiative.
