ICMP is delighted to welcome mixer and engineer Isabel Gracefield for the first of a new series of music production masterclasses.

The new In the Mix series will see some of the music industry's best producers and audio engineers discuss their careers and advice for anyone looking to launch successful studio careers.

Taking place on 31st March, the first event will see Isabel Gracefield, engineer for Brit award winner Tom Walker, Dua Lipa and Stormzy, talk about her musical journey.

Students will also have the chance to submit their music in advance of the event and receive feedback on their work from Isabel.

Isabel Gracefield

Isabel began her career at Nick Lowe's Goldtop Studios before going on to work with ICMP alumnus Fraser T Smith. She worked on Adele's 'Set Fire to the Rain'  with Fraser before joining the legendary Rak Studios.

Since then, she's enjoyed working on a variety of brilliant and chart-topping records and releases. Her CV includes credits with Tom Walker, Christine and The Queens, Emeli Sande ('Kingdom Coming' EP), Bear’s Den, Tom Walker and Dua Lipa's 'Boys Will Be Boys' from her 'Future Nostalgia' album.

Isabel co-writes, produces and mixes and we're excited to welcome her to this virtual event to find out more about the various projects she's worked on.

The event will include a mixing workshop from Isabel. Students will have the chance to get exclusive feedback on their own tracks. All they need to is submit music by 21st March.

The event will be hosted by ICMP tutor Lia Mice. Students will also have the chance to ask questions, so make sure you have some prepared ahead of the event.
