Jason O’Bryan, Programme Leader BA (Hons) Creative Music Production and Nikolay Georgiev, ICMP Music Production tutor, will both be appearing at the legendary NAMM conference in California.

The annual event is a must-attend for the music technology and equipment sector. Many leading manufacturers use the event as a platform to make announcements and launch new products and innovations.

Jason and Nikolay will both be at the industry show on behalf of leading music technology manufacturer Antelope Audio.

The former will present a forthcoming Dub Pistols mixdown to a version created using only the Orion Studio Synergy Core and its library of vintage effects. The goal is to recreate the original mix that was produced using analogue hardware.

Nikolay, who will at the event as Antelope's official product ambassador, will be delivering a presentation around cutting edge microphone technology.

Commenting, he said:

My talk will explore on Antelope Audio's microphones. They allow users to alter not only the mic polar pattern but also the mic model. This can be done either during the recording or the mix stage of a production."

"I will be demonstrating this using audio examples recorded during the last 18 months at some of the world's best studios."

Jason is also undertaking face-to-face interviews in Los Angeles while visiting for new research around the pioneering music productions including those of the Beach Boys and Phil Spector.
