Watch our video interview on how to be an entrepreneur

The best music business degrees in 2017 give students the knowledge and skills to be entrepreneurs so they are well placed to land their dream job in the music industry.

So with this in mind, a class of our music business students recently visited Entrepreneurial Spark in London for a class with start up expert Chris Kettle.

The initiative is backed by NatWest and opened its London office  in August 2017. It is the world's largest free business accelerator, offering business support to start-up companies and entrepreneurs with numerous businesses based in the hub.

Chris is the scheme’s Entrepreneurial Development Manager in London and works closely with many of the capital’s leading start-ups, entrepreneurs, small-to-medium enterprises and more.

ICMP students were treated to an accelerator session with Chris as well as a Q&A on how to get ahead in business.

Commenting, Chris said:

For me what makes the best entrepreneur is the mindset. We run Entrepreneurial Spark as a people accelerator. Good people make good businesses. If you're got the right mindset, open to challenge and change, know you want, are able to keep going and have that growth mindset, then I think you'll find that the business will go a lot further."
