We're excited to announce the launch of an innovative new Ableton Live tool with ICMP Music Production tutor Marcello Ruggiu.
REPLAY by ICMP is a reactive audio sample player and can be used to trigger audio samples and replace any incoming source with the selected audio file.
Marcello, a certified Ableton trainer, tutor and experienced electronic music producer, is behind the new tool.
He said:
Thanks to a reduced latency REPLAY can be a great way to trigger samples live and create layers of acoustic and electronic instruments. With REPLAY, you can record a bad sounding drum with bad sounding microphones and replace every single kick and snare with a sample of your choice."
Students have exclusive access and can download the tool from our internal My.ICMP web portal.
Marcello is a London-based sound engineer and music producer. Making a mixture of electronica, bass and breakcore, he qualified as an Ableton tutor in 2009 and recently published a guide to the programme in his native Italy.
