ICMP’s community of students and staff took a leading role in the prestigious Global Youth Awards event held at London’s prestigious Troxy.

Taking place on 20th November, students and alumni from across a range of courses joined Ace, ICMP’s Head of Industry Partnerships and Business Development, in supporting the event.

Ace is a global ambassador for the charity and now a trustee and was at the event to introduce the awards. ICMP sponsored three different prizes - for Creativity, Empowerment and Environment - with BMus in Popular Music Performance scholarship winner Darius Oon presenting these prizes.

Alumna and current staff member Joy Princess hosted the event alongside Ellie-Marie with both performing at the finale. Students from the BA in Live Event and Festival Management were behind the organisation on the night too.

Commenting, Ace said:

I've been working with the Global Youth Awards for nine years and it’s been fantastic to see its evolution in championing the achievements of young people."

"The night at the Troxy was a brilliant event and it was equally fantastic to see so many members of ICMP's community come together to make this happen. I know that the team at the Global Youth Awards were very impressed by how the event went. Well done to everyone involved and I'm looking forward to this partnership growing in the future."

The awards showcase extraordinary young people aged 11-25 around the world who are leading inspirational projects for a positive impact.

They are organised by RoundTable Global, an initiative dedicated to running leadership, empowerment and culture change programmes.
