ICMP will celebrate the end of the academic year with Outro 2021, a live music showcase to mark the achievements of our students from the last 12 months.
The event, which is planned to take place on Monday 2nd August, will feature a carefully selected line-up of artists and bands from our current crop of musical talent and we’re now asking students to apply to be considered for this live opportunity.
With the UK lockdown restrictions set to ease on the day, we’ll be working hard to ensure this event is a fitting way to celebrate the return of live music after over a year without it.
If selected, then students will need to audition for the showcase in front of a panel of judges before the final lineup is chosen.
ICMP tutors Mark Roberts, Justin Boreland and Carla Monroe alongside ICMP Music Industry Liaison Manager James Brister will be among the judging panel. Erika Footman and Mark will be running the pre-event production sessions.

This is a brilliant opportunity for students to showcase their music and performance skills, not only to the wider ICMP community but invited music industry guests."
“After the year we’ve had, we hope this will be a brilliant event to celebrate our students as long as restrictions allow. If you do not think you’re quite ready for this, then we’re also urging students and alumni to get in touch with their music anyway for future opportunities.”
James Brister said: “ICMP’s end of year showcase is traditionally a brilliant celebration of the musical creativity of our community.
It goes without saying that we’ve been starved of live music for too long so this, as long as restrictions allow, will be a fantastic way to bid farewell to the last 12 months."
Entry is expected to be by guest-list only but friends and family will be welcome too, restrictions permitting.
With the lockdown set to ease, we will be working hard to ensure this event is aligned with any Covid-19 measures to guarantee the safety of all students, staff and performers. The venue and times are still to be confirmed.

Students will need to audition one song only for the showcase in front of a panel of judges before the final line up is chosen.
