Congratulations to ICMP BA Songwriting alumna Phoebe Gold who has been selected as one of the awardees of the Music Managers Forum (MMF) Accelerator Programme.

According to the MMF, the scheme aims to recognise the increasingly important role of music managers in financing, developing and facilitating artist careers.

The programme provides both financial and educational support. This includes 12-month grants of up to £15,000, alongside expert-led professional development training.

Phoebe Gold is the founder of Up Close Management and began her career hosting parties for and with friends in London.

She then started working at various companies, learning the ropes of artist, producer and songwriter management.

Since leaving ICMP, Phoebe has started her own business, managing artists such as emerging artist tendai, producer/DJ Tommy Gold (Bone Soda, NTS), and independent Bay Area-based artist kezia."

The MMF is the world’s largest professional community of music managers.

Since its inception in 1992, the organisation has worked to educate, inform and represent UK managers. It also offers a network through which they can share experiences, opportunities and information.
