ICMP BA Songwriting alumnus Chris Breheny is a hotly tipped emerging artist, blending classic writing styles and sounds to head-turning effect.

Ever since he left our classroom, accolades have been falling at his feet, from endorsements from the likes of Elton John and Adele to achieving 30 million plus streams and counting.

Moncrieff’s career really picked up momentum in the UK when Elton John gave him a shout out during his Rocket Hour show on Beats 1 radio. The songwriting legend loved the track ‘Symptoms’ and, it led to BBC Radio 1 picking it up.

His single ‘Warm’ released in 2022 was an hit that went top 10 on Irish Radio and was performed live with The RTÉ Concert Orchestra & Dublin Gospel Choir on The Tommy Tiernan Show. A self-produced six-track EP also titled ‘Warm’ followed in September of last year and served as a great introduction to Moncrieff’s deeply personal songwriting.

His career continues to go in a successful direction with support slots with the Script, a sold out Irish tour, headline shows in London and Germany and more.

Connect with him on Spotify and Facebook for more detail on forthcoming live performances.
