ICMP Music Business and Entrepreneurship alumna Louise Marsden has started her career in the creative industries by landing a job with STUDIOCANAL.

During her time with us, Louise met with our partner, Arts & Media, a specialist recruitment agency working in music and the creative industries and she secured a temporary position through them and then a full-time job.

Initially, she was drawn to working in a record label before discovering more about the world of music publishing.

Commenting on her time at ICMP, Louise said: "I didn’t realise how many roles within the creative industries there were until I started at ICMP."

As soon as I started learning about publishing, that just opened my eyes to the wider industry and I became so much more invested in it. I felt more ambitious thanks to the course."

STUDIOCANAL is a leading film and television studio. Not only does the company create and distribute feature films but also owns one of the largest film and series libraries where it licenses content.

Louise’s role is as Business Support Coordinator and works with the rest of the team to assist and support.

She said: "What I learned while at ICMP is that we all have different strengths. You need to find these and use them to your advantage. It was through talking to the team at the Hub that I worked out what these were - and this helped me get the role."
