Spotlight Good Girls Don't

Here at ICMP we are proud to support our community and always look forward to sharing their successes.

Each Tuesday, we present a student or graduate music project, making it our #ICMPSpotlight of the week.

This time we've chosen to shine a light on Good Girls Don't, a collective started by three of our Music Business students.

ICMP SPOTLIGHT: 24TH MARCH 2020

Good Girls Don't, by Eve Norman, Wahiba Semlali, and Grace Hamberger.

Good Girls Don't is a collective started by second-year Music Business students Eve, Wahiba, and Grace as part of their 'Creative Event Management' module. Their idea was to create a platform that strived for equality in the arts by giving female artists a chance to take centre stage.

Due to the latest push to prevent the spread of Covid-19 the collective's first gig, organised as part of the university assignment, was cancelled. The three didn't give up and arranged for some amazing artists to perform live, streaming through the official Facebook page from their homes. In addition, people were able to donate to Young Women's Music Project, the educational charity that the original event was in aid of.

The line up included live sets by current ICMP students Nina Jade, Luchi, and Gretchin. The performance videos have been recorded and are available to be watched on the Good Girls Don't FB page.

We want to congratulate our students for the lovely initiative and wish them all the best.
