Here at ICMP we are proud to support our community and always look forward to sharing their successes.

Each Tuesday, we present a student or graduate music project, making it our #ICMPSpotlight of the week.

This time we've chosen to shine a light on AM Productions, a music services platform founded by Creative Music Production student Aryanne Maudit.

ICMP SPOTLIGHT: 21ST JANUARY 2020

AM Productions, a music services platform founded by Aryanne Maudit

Aryanne Maudit is one of our brilliant BA (Hons) Creative Music Production students as well as a sound engineer and multi-instrumentalist. The recently founded AM Productions is a bespoke audio services platform, offering professional studio recording, mixing, and mastering for emerging independent artists, with special attention to women and LGBTQIA+ individuals.

My mission is to make the music industry a more inclusive environment for women and gender-non-conforming people. Women currently represent only 2% of the audio industry!"

Aryanne started her journey in the music business by playing guitar when she was nine. She then also learned how to play seven more instruments (!!!), from mandolin to percussions. Her first live performance experiences saw her joining local punk bands at the age of fourteen, then all the way through her 20s, playing in several projects and starting her main hard-rock band, Berger House. With them, she co-wrote and produced the band's first five-track EP Magnifying Glass, taking her first steps in music production and studio recording.

In March 2016 Aryanne moved to London willing to pursue her career in the music industry. She has since played with several bands as session lead guitarist, touring the UK, playing iconic venues and festivals like The 100 Club, O2 Academy Islington, and The Dublin Castle in Camden. Two years ago she stopped touring in order to study Creative Music Production at ICMP, while also working on her solo project.

Aryanne has also recently launched a Mix Contest to support women, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic, and LGBTQIA+ artists and bands at ICMP and beyond. The winners will get a free recording session, a mix or master of their music via AM Productions.

We fully support Aryanne's mission of contributing to fill the gender gap in the music industry.
