Ace, ICMP’s Head of Industry Partnerships and Business Development, and Vocal Tutor Erika Footman, visited ICMP partner School L’Accademia in Parma, Italy for their Summer Music Experience.
The trip to School L’Accademia consisted of workshops and masterclasses, guitar techniques and professional musicianship workshops, a group songwriting camp and live performance workshops.
The experience culminated with a gig in the impressive and classic venue of Casa della Musica in the centre of Parma.
The concert consisted of around 25 songs of popular cover versions including a large number of Skunk Anansie songs which Ace and Erika both played with the students.
L'Accademia students were also joined by students Vocal Arts Studios from Melbourne Australia as part of their summer tour and The Hub Music Creative Academy (Montecchio) owner and ICMP London Music Weekend organiser Luca Pellizzaro.

Ace and Erika visited a local radio station for an interview about their visit and the upcoming gig at the prestigious Cortile d'Onore venue.
The final show was fantastic with performances from the students including Ace and Erika on various songs.
Students and staff from L'Accademia along with other Italian schools will be attending the London Music Weekend at ICMP in December 2023.
This latest collaboration will mark the tenth anniversary of the event.
