The ICMP Spotlight aims to support as many students and alumni as possible in their personal careers within the music industry.

Whether you're working on a musical, have joined a cover band, started out as a booking agent/artist manager/music journalist/etc, we want to know all about it and support you with any possible means.

Each month we present a student or graduate music project, making it our #ICMPSpotlight. This time we have our BA in Creative Musicianship alumna Andriah Arrindell.

Andriah Arrindell

Singer-songwriter and ICMP alumna Andriah Arrindell hails from London’s East End and has been involved in music all her life.

From performing in musical theatre as a child to working in choirs, she has been immersed in sounds and songs.

Highlights from her musical career include supporting Alexander O’Neal as well as being mentored by Nona Hendryx of LaBelle (Lady Marmalade). She was a member of The London Community Gospel Choir where she performed with Madonna as well as performing for Aretha Franklin’s induction into the London Music Hall Of Fame at Alexandra Palace in 2005 accompanied by Jamie Cullum and Leela James.

As a signed artist Andriah has shared the stage with Mica Paris and Kelly Rowland at the official Obama Inauguration event in London in 2009 and was a backing singer for Shola Ama."

She has continued to write music and perform with the Ck Gospel Choir and performing with Sir Lenny Henry’s Blues Band.

Andriah has now finished a collection of songs titled 'Beautiful Collateral' and is in the midst of performing a series of intimate shows in small venues around London.
