ICMP is delighted to be working with live music event organisers Hastings Fat Tuesday (HFT) to offer students the opportunity the chance to perform and gain experience of events management.
The not for profit organisation delivers a year-round programme of live events in both Hastings and St Leonard’s including the Fat Tuesday Festival, next due to take place in February 2022.
Our new partnership with the promoters will see students given opportunities to perform at the event which has been “hailed as Hastings’ answer to SXSW in Texas, or Brighton’s Great Escape festival”.
Students will be able to play at multiple gigs and venues while there will also be the chance to work behind the scenes at the gigs and conference events.
Ace, ICMP’s Head of Industry Partnerships & Business Development said: "We're delighted to be partnering with HFT for their 2022 festival to give our students unrivalled opportunities within all aspects of the live music space."
The event is one of the most popular in the region and this new relationship will give those ICMP students looking to perform or work backstage the chance to enjoy some fantastic industry experience."
Ken Foreman, ICMP's Associate Dean and the Programme Leader of the BA (Hons) Music Business and Entrepreneurship, said: "This partnership with Fat Tuesday will provide plenty of fantastic opportunities for ICMP students, particularly those studying our new BA Live Event Management degree."
