ICMP's community is coming together to celebrate LGBT+ History month with a series of events.
Running across February, events will feature a Pride Month LGBT+ Showcase, LGBT+ History Month Songwriters' Circle with Harry Strange (pictured above) and LGBT+ SongTeller Camp.
Commenting on the events, Oli Tatler, ICMP's Careers & Employability Manager and Facilitator of the LGBTQIA+ EDI Subgroup, said:
We all know the power of music to bring people together and these activities led by ICMP's LGBTQIA+ staff and student community are a great way to champion and celebrate diversity and inclusivity through creativity."

International Day Culture Fest 2024 + Lunar New Year celebrations
9th February | 7pm | Queen’s Park Campus
We are celebrating the vibrancy and uniqueness of our multicultural community through live performances and plenty of food.
This year we are proudly celebrating the Lunar New Year with surprise entertainment.
Free HIV testing
14th February | 1pm - 4pm | 2nd floor, Kilburn Campus
In association with Terrence Higgins Trust, students will be able to get a rapid finger-prick HIV testing, free lubrication and condoms.
No booking necessary.
LGBT+ SongTeller Camp
Friday 16th February | Queen's Park Campus
Students get the opportunity to co-write their story with professional writers and producers.
All artists who identify as LGBTQIA+ are welcome to apply and each participant will leave with a professional demo of the song. The top songs have the potential to go before a panel with the chance of gaining support for a commercial release.
LGBT+ History Month Songwriters' Circle
19th February | 7pm | The Sheriff Centre
Students and alumni will have the chance to perform alongside fast-emerging artist Harry Strange. Over the past few years, Harry has been releasing a variety of songs that have reached over 3 million streams, received support from the likes of Apple Music and Spotify and toured the UK. We are delighted he'll be coming to perform and share the stories behind his songs with us.
Pride Month LGBT+ Showcase
27th February | 6pm | The Venue, Queen's Park Campus
A showcase of the brilliant LGBTQIA+ talent we have at ICMP.
