Congratulations to ICMP Music Business and Entrepreneurship alumna Luana Pires on being named as the latest recipient of the Ace Accelerator@Bureau.

Luana and her venture - the Aguia Music Management Group (AMMG) - will now have access to office space at the Bureau in the Design District alongside numerous mentoring and networking opportunities.

AMMG was born during Luana’s final year at ICMP.

She was already offering advice to students on the music industry and, after providing mentoring, decided to launch her own business.

The business now works with a number of artists and collectives including Slicko and Blue Rhythm, a company that provides mental health support to artists from former musicians who are now qualified clinicians.

Ace said:

We’re delighted to be continuing our ongoing relationship with the Bureau in the Design District to offer students unprecedented opportunities to collaborate, network and grow their business ventures."

"Luana’s business is undeniably exciting and I believe she has the ambition and vision to succeed in the wider industry. I hope the support this initiative offers will help her to scale up her company and take her ambitions to the next level."

Luana said: "I heard about the chance and instantly started thinking about how helpful it would be for my career as an entrepreneur, as well as for many other talented artists I have been working with. This is an opportunity that doesn’t come around often and it is exceedingly difficult to obtain a physical space to work from as a young mind in business or as a starter, let alone a physical space inserted in a creative hub such as the Design District."

Being the recipient of this award means that my business will gain implausible credibility and access to valuable resources."

The Design District is a collection of 16 buildings designed by eight architects, set in the heart of Greenwich Peninsula. From summer 2021, this area has offered a permanent and purpose-designed work space for the creative industries.
