ICMP Vocals Tutor and alumna Francesca Confortini is the first guest to feature in the 'Sounds Like These' Podcast.

Hosted by Lara Magnelli, a member of ICMP’s Marketing team, each episode of The Interview Series is an informal, insightful, and inspiring conversation with a top music industry professional.

From songwriters and session players to professionals working in music for film, TV, and games, and record labels, each guest will discuss their careers, showbiz anecdotes, as well as matters of equality, diversity, and inclusion in the music business and beyond.

Commenting, Lara said:

I had so much fun talking to Francesca. She's a force of nature, an amazing vocalist, tutor - I know from first-hand experience! - and musician."

"No wonder she ended up working for artists like Yusuf Islam (previously known as Cat Stevens)!"

Commenting, Francesca said: "It was an honour -and so much fun!- to be in conversation with Lara for the new podcast, The Interview Series!

It was such a good opportunity to share my experiences and reflect on my own path so far, whilst feeling connected to the ICMP community."

Francesca discussed a series of topics including her upbringing in Italy, then moving to London alongside her time at ICMP as a student and running vocal courses for the Summer School.

She also talks about being picked to be the voice of the latest Just Eat jingle in Italy and her recent remote work with Yusuf Islam.

Other episodes in the new series of the podcast will be released throughout July.
