ICMP alumna Vixen has now joined the band of US star Halsey as guitarist, debuting on stage at the Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona.

The festival is one of the biggest live events of the summer with Halsey performing on a bill alongside other heavyweight music stars including Blur, Fred Again, Depeche Mode, Arlo Parks and many more.

Primavera Sound takes place in Barcelona, Porto in Portugal, and now Madrid over three separate weekends during the course of June.

The Halsey gig was Vixen’s debut with the artist. Posting about the festival via Instagram, she said:

Massive news! I am now playing for Halsey - Tonight was our first show at Primavera Barcelona - Threw together this improvised solo with my Fender Gold Foil Jazzmaster on our new version of ‘Closer’."

Halsey is one of pop music's most innovative artists, pushing against the conventions of what pop should be thanks to her recent collaborations with producers Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
