Our Careers and Industry Hub actively support and nurture all the musical talent to pass through ICMP and are responsible for selecting our weekly #ICMPSpotlight artist.

This week they've chosen to shine it on the talents of our alumna, singer songwriter Veda Black.

ICMP SPOTLIGHT: 21st JANUARY

‘JIM MORRISON' - veda black

East London based songwriter and producer Veda Black is an alumna from our BA in Songwriting

Her sound offers up an infectious blend R&B and alternative soul with rockier influences, nodded to in her latest release, the BBC Radio 1Xtra-approved ‘Jim Morrison’.

The track was premiered by Jamz Supernova recently while she's also delighted crowds at gigs including the Afropunk Festival as well as filming an excellent Sofar Session. Citing influences as diverse as Erykah Badu, Anderson .Paak to Pink Floyd, Donny Hathaway, she's a talent we're looking forward to hearing more from in 2019.
